Battle Baptist Church is one church but with four different faces represented by four congregations. The 9.00am congregation is possibly the most conventional, while the 10.30 and 4pm are currently proving attractive to folk of all ages! The 6.30 Congregation is particularly aimed at young people in School year 7 and above, using contemporary music and language in a "youth culture" style where most people choose to sit on the floor. The congregations meet in different places and during school holiday times the usual pattern is sometimes altered - a change being as good as rest, to coin a phrase! Follow the links above which indicate the meeting time on a Sunday to discover more about each congregation. 2012 As we believe that the opportunity to meet together at one service on a Sunday would be really good, the fellowship has agreed that we should let the elders plan the each year with: ~ 36 to 39 separate congregational Sundays with the 4 congregations meeting "as usual". ~ 1 to 4 Sundays, often at the time of a school holiday, where we will have just one service and meet all together at Claverham Community College. ~ some Sundays (during the school summer holidays) meeting at Zion Chapel with fewer services when the school is not available and many folk are away on holidays. |
